problems configuring imlib for arm7

Hi,

I'm trying to get ViewML compiled and running on an ARM-7 processor, and I've
got most of the pieces compiled with the exception of imlib.

I get this error right before it craps out on the configure:

checking for GTK - version >= 1.2.1... cross compiling; assumed OK... yes
checking whether to build gmodulized imlib... yes
configure: error: can not run test program while cross compiling

I've tried --disable-gtktest to no success, as it's complaining about gdk.

Any suggestions from anyone would be helpful.
