Barbra,

If you're using ViewML with Nano-X, support for JPG files is contained within
Nano-X itself. So, while not necessary for ViewML, if you want to see JPGs in
your web pages, you'll still need a copy of the JPG lib for building Nano-X
with this support.

However, if you're just trying to get everything running with a minimum of
fuss, the JPG lib is not strictly necessary.

hi,
have some questions regarding viewml...i have read that microwindows
and flnx are its dependencies.Do i still have to cross-compile
jpeg-6b?Is this really needed before I cross-compile viewml? Btw, i have
cross-compiled microwin-0.89, flnx-0.17 and w3c-libwww-5.2.8. I'm using
RedHat 7.3 and arm-linux-gcc 3.2.
